  When it comes to the soul of a business, most people believe that making profits is the first and most concern. In their opinion, the soul of a business exists in how much money it can earn for the enterprise and its employees. Contrary to this is another view which holds that the soul of a business lies in how much contribution it can make to the society. Compared to this noble goal, making profits should, of course, be in the second place.

  As far as I am concerned, I would rather seek a balance between the two views. I don't think an enterprise can survive without making profits, which is especially the case in such a competitive world. Neither do I appreciate the idea that the mere objective of a business is to make money. It is believed that a highly developed society undoubtedly promotes the development of enterprises. Moreover, a business is not an island. Its prosperity depends, to a great extent, on the society. Therefore, a business should do something in return for the society.

  From what has been discussed above, we can safely come to the conclusion that the soul of a business lies in the balance between making contributions to the society and gaining profits for the enterprise itself.

  Fortunately,a letter from his grandfather reached them this october,which said that his grandfather would be back to shanghai on december 24th.Li mings parents were so ecited about the news that they didnt sleep well for several nights.Neither did li ming.

  The day finally came.On december 24th,the family of li ming were on their way to the airport.When they met at last,they gave grandfather a big hug,tears in their eyes. they got together. what a happy family!

  Li ming is one of my classmates. he has been living in shanghai for fifteen years.

  Li mings grandfather is a merchant and he has been living in taiwan since liberation of shanghai. they havent heard from him for fifty years.

  一、研究背景

  在实际教学中,我们发现传统的文科教学,在作文(包括英语作文)的批改上盛行着两种方法:一是教师用刺眼的红笔进行“√”和“×”批阅,最后用一两句不痛不痒的话稍作点评;另一种则是教师经常对学生的作文进行面批。对于前者,几乎所有人(包括进行批改的教师)都认为其效果甚微,这种简单但过于“粗放”的方式显然已跟不上当今的英语教学;但对于后者,在肯定其效果以及教师的敬业心之时,我们不得不为那超负荷的工作量给教师身心带来的巨大压力而担心,同时也为他们在外语教育和教学时间分配上的合理性感到忧虑。毫无疑问,作文批改已成为英语教师和其他文科教师最耗时和最疲惫的工作。而且,即使付出了许多时间和精力,其反馈效果还是不太理想,使得很多学生学了十多年的英语,却拿不出一篇通顺像样的作文。为此,笔者试图从传承与创新的角度,提出几种想法,以求教于大方。

  二、研究的内容和方法

  教师的批改和反馈不仅要给学生的作文一个等级或者分数,还要作出一种过程评价。只有充分体会到了写作和反馈的过程,学生才能始终处于一种主动的学习之中,反馈的效果才会更加趋向于合理化和理想化。因为学生写作是一个过程,写作后的反馈是写作过程的延续,学生写作能力的提高与否同教师的反馈效果密切相关。由此可见,有效批改和反馈的作用不言而喻。那么,如何对学生的作文进行有效的批改和反馈呢?

  1. 创造人性化的反馈环境,兼顾不同学生的写作水平

  所谓创造人性化的反馈环境是指教师应该站在学生的立场上,贴近每位学生的兴趣、爱好和个性特长因材施“评”。这不仅可以缓解学生思想上的压力,还可以激发学生的写作兴趣。因此,对于写作基础较好的学生除了肯定之外还要给出改进意见;对于写作基础较差的学生,则应采取鼓励与指导相结合的方式——使用激励性的语言树立其自信心,并用商量的口气予以指导。

  (1)当堂批改

  学生刚写好作文,对题目的理解、构思、结构、用词造句等都还记忆犹新,若此时教师趁热打铁,当堂指导学生进行批改,就能产生很好的批改效果。如:以“How to Build a Harmonious Society?”为例,笔者根据对学生的了解,制订了如下的当堂批改方案。分别选出好、中、差各一篇作文(不署名且事先不告诉学生各篇作文的等级),通过教室投影放映给全班学生阅读,然后通过电脑显示提供评价标准:作者的观点是否明确;各段是否服务于该观点;段落间及段与段的连接是否合理、流畅;结尾是否做到了首尾呼应或深化主题,或提出了解决问题的建议等。再让学生对照标准,评价这三篇作文。这样做的目的在于让学生明白作文评分要从内容(思想和材料)、语言和结构三方面入手。接着要求学生对这三篇作文作总体反馈。学生的反馈与实际情况可能大相径庭,不过教师恰好可以就这点进行针对性的分析。然后,教师再进行示范性的分析,分别指出三篇课堂习作中的优缺点。这样,不同层次的学生都有了参照,都有了发展的空间,也便于学生对自己的作文有更为深入的`了解。

  (2)彩色批改

  传统的做法是教师用红笔批改学生作文中的错误,然后给出分数。红笔批阅的内容也就是错误的内容。殊不知,学生的心理是害怕红色,甚至抵制红色的。既然这样,那何不换位思考一下呢? 不妨试着和学生进行沟通,使用一些学生认可的方法进行批改。有些教师在批改学生作文时,尝试用绿色荧光笔画出学生习作中的好词好句,用紫色画出学生在时态和搭配等方面的错误。紫色的批改常侧重在句子层面的错误上,更易于学生进行改错和加强记忆。实践证明,用除红色外的彩笔进行修改,不会对学生造成视觉上的冲击,可以缓解红色的过度“警示作用”对学生自信的打击。所以,彩色批改法不仅不伤害学生的自尊,而且还使教师和学生摆脱了审美疲劳。这种批改方法也可用于学生的相互批改中。

  (3)符号批改

  根据研究,教师的批改中有相当一部分属于“鸡肋”,因为这些所谓的“错误”仅仅是与教师的风格不太吻合而已。如此“食而无味”的“鸡肋”不仅不能提高学生的写作水平,还有可能因此而改变了学生原想表达的意思。符号批改的出现,既减轻了教师的负担,又给学生提供了思考的余地。学生由接受教师的既定观点变成了主动进行探究性的学习,使学生真正成为写作的受益者。
