　　The pie charts inform us of the phenomenon that there exists some difference in the sources of income between American and Chinese students. When it comes to American students, they get 15% of income from scholarship, 35% from part-time jobs and 50% from their parents. In terms of Chinese students, income from scholarships accounts for 5%, and another 5% is from part-time jobs. The largest part for Chinese students, 90%, comes from their parents, which is 40% higher than that of American students.

　　This difference reflected in the charts may stem from cultural differences. On the on hand, Americans emphasize independence, and encourage children to learn the ability of earning their living. Chinese students, in a certain degree, don’t have a strong sense of independence. They would rather ask their parents for money than make money through part-time jobs or scholarships. On the other hand, American parents believe part-time jobs can help children master different abilities and improve their learning efficiency while Chinese parents hold that students should focus all their energies on study and they don’t need to worry about their living expenses or endeavor to make money.

　　From my perspective, independence is the symbol of a person’s maturity as well as the crucial ability of surviving in the competitive environment. Chinese students should enhance their consciousness of independence and only in this way can they be mature sooner.

　　When I was very small, I stayed in the hometown with my grandparents. I had the great time there, I liked the environment so much. There was a long river in front of my house, the water was very clean, I could see the small fish swim. My grandma usually washed her clothes along the river side. But now when I went back to my hometown, the river was very dirty, the water was light yellow and there were so many rubbish floating in the river. It made me feel that the river had lost its life. I missed the old time when I was playing in the river. It is human being that ruin the environment, if we don't take action to protect it, we will destroy ourselves.

　　Electrical energy comes from the sun in a roundabout way, e.g.②, it can come from the power of water falling down a mountainside③. The water fell there as rain, and we know that rain is made by the sun＇s heat evaporating the water on the earth＇s surface. This water vapour rises, condenses④ on cooling, and falls as rain.

　　The light and heat energy from coal also comes from the sun in a roundabout way. Coal was made by the rocks pressing on trees and plants which died millions of years ago. Those trees and plants grew with the aid of sunlight, from which they made carbohydrates⑤, in this way changing the sun＇s energy into chemical energy. When we burn coal, some of this energy is set free.

　　Energy which we use to drive car engines comes from petrol⑥,which also was made with the aid of the sun in a roundabout way. Plants, and animals which ate the plants, died millions of years ago, and the parts of them that were left were pressed under the rocks in the 301earth. These parts left from dead animals and plants made petroleum⑦,from which petrol and oil are now obtained.

　　However, before the policy was claimed, Chinese leaders thought population emerges as an issue, which should be controlled and approved a law on contraception and abortion .The population growing fast let the government included population control into the national economic development plan and requires government at all levels to increase family-planning work.

　　With time going by, we discover that one-child policy also has its disadvantage. A growing number of scholars has urged the government to reform the one-child policy ,introduced in the late 1970s to prevent population spiraling out of control, but now regarded by many experts as outdated and harmful to the economy. In recent years ,China ‘s fertility rate maintained at the level of 1.4%----1.5%,much lower than other developing countries .China’s low fertility level will not only lead to a shortage of the aging of the population and the labor force ,but also will reduce the potential growth rate of the economy. In addition , one-child policy makes many families have only one child ,which makes the child feel lonely during his childhood .

　　After the policy fully implemented, it will affect 15000000 to 20000000 people in the national scope, among these couples about 50% to 60% would like to have a second children. The estimated number of new policy for infants range from 8000000 to 10000000. So we should pay more attention to who can have a second child and be rational when we choose whether to have a second child. In a word ,only in this way can the population not be a rapid growth in our country.
