The mid-autumn is a very important chinese festival. it falls on the 15th day of august. a few days before the festival, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. lanterns will be hung in front of the house.
On the evening there will be a big family dinner. people who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. after dinner, people will light the lanterns which are usually red and round. children will play with their own toy lanterns happily.
At night the moon is usually round and bright. people can enjoy the moon while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. they can look back on the past and look forward to the future together. it is said that there was a dragon in the sky. the dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. to protect the frighten the dragon away.

从自己做起刘晋彤如果我们想做一个好的学生，让别人喜欢的学生，就要去帮助他人，帮助社会，要从身边一点一滴、一件件小事做起，更要从自己做起。古时候有个小故事也是关于从自己做起的：有一天，告子和墨子见面了，一见面告子就对墨子说：“你好，墨子先生。我最近发现，我很有能力管理国家的一些大事。”墨子答道：“真的吗？您确定？能掌管国家大事的人，嘴里说的话，身体一定要去实行它实践它。您现在嘴里说的话却不能实行，这就说明您言行不一致，您连自己都管理不好，做不到言行一致，又怎么能管理好国家大事呢？”告子听了非常不好意思，又没有话好辩解，只好赶快转移话题。这件事就说明了：我们做事都要言行一致，不能嘴上说的很好，而在实际做事时而退缩，这样不仅说明了你说话不算话，，你的朋友也有可能因此而不信任你，大家以后就可能说你喜欢骗人，这样大家就都可能不信任你。
一个不能得到大家信任的'人，不要说大事情做不成，就连小事情也是很难做好的，更别说国家大事了。俗话说的好：“一屋不扫，何以扫天下？”如果你连小事都不愿意做，或者说做不好，那你还有什么资格去做一些大事？如果想做到言行一致还是必须要从自己做起。不能要严格求自己，又怎么能让别人支持哪？我们班级最近每天都选举一次当日的值日班长，每个人都有机会当选一次，但是如果你在别人当选时表现不好，在你当选时别人会听你的吗？这也是同样的道理……从自己做起，做一个受他人新人欢迎的人吧！

It is said that the festival originated from a love story. A man with great strength shot nine suns and left only one, while his wife ate the pills by curious heart. At last, she flied to the moon and had to be separated with her lover. Nowadays, the meaning of Mid-autumn festival is to let the families get together and enjoy the time to appreciate the full moon. My families always prepare for some snacks. When we finish the dinner, all the members will come to the balcony and sit down, appreciating the full moon.
We talk and enjoy the chatting hour. I have a good time with my families.
