　　there was a little boy with a bad temper. his father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence.

　　the first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. then it gradually dwindled down. he discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. finally the day came when the boy didnt lose his temper at all. he told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. the days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. he said, "you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. the fence will never be the same. when you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.

　　“I come, I see！Shake English, shake the world！”这句口号一直在我耳边回响。这周我们学校举办了英语节，以丰富多彩的英语活动为载体，营造良好的英语学习的氛围，丰富校园文化生活，让我们在英语活动中体会到学英语，用英语的快乐。

　　这次英语节的主题是：“I come, I see！Shake English, shake the world!！”在一周里，学校开展了一系列丰富多彩的英语活动，如：周二的单词运动会，周三的合力寻宝，周四的我行我show，周五的跳蚤市场、社团表演和班级里的英语歌唱比赛。我们在玩中学，学中做，齐心协力，各运匠心，充分感受到了英语的快乐，使我更加爱上了英语。

　　在这次英语节中，各种活动可以说是好戏连台，精彩呈现：

　　周一，英语节正式开幕。在开幕式上六（1）班的同学为我们呈现出了他们的活泼，几位主持人用他们流利的英语为我们的英语节做出了一个好的开头。

　　周二，余老师在班级里举行了“单词运动会”，把全班分成了3组，经过几轮比赛后，我们组最终是第二名。

　　周三，我、李乐琪、王展豪、王以勒、侯锦宇和赵君安为一组。我们一开始，王展豪顺利的从垃圾桶边找到了一张红纸。接下来我们都顺利地找到了以后的几张纸。有一张纸上让我们画一位保安，侯锦宇把保安画的跟猪一样，真是“天才”啊！

　　周五，是英语节的最后一天，也是最开心的一天。早上的英语课，是由我们4位英语课代表来主持第二届英语歌唱比赛。在比赛中，第一名还是潘怡伽、陈思琪。在第一届中也是他们两，这次又是他们，真是“羡慕、嫉妒、恨”。中午，我们开始了我们的跳蚤市场活动。我们“阳槑”小组大约赚了500元左右。最让我感到惊讶的是居然有人花钱去买气球，九（5）班的同学，买下了我们的所有气球，不可思议啊！下午，就是我期待已久的社团活动。我们英语演讲社表演的是《灰姑娘》——Cinderella，精彩的话剧，也让我多了一次的尝试。

　　以“活动”激发兴趣。全员参与，寓教于乐，寓学于乐，生动活泼，乐学其中，学于其中。以“活动”形成课程。以校为本，快乐协作，主动实践；享受成功，建立自信，自主探究。以“活动”促进发展。营造氛围，人人能说，个个会听，班班读写，百花齐放，和谐发展。I come, I see！Shake English, shake the world!

　　英语老师，我爱您！

　　我们的英语老师，一头弯曲如海藻的金黄色卷发自然地披在脑后，一张白净的鹅蛋脸上长着一双有神的眼睛，高挺的鼻子下面是一张能说会道的嘴，正是这张能说会道的嘴，让每一节英语课都充满了欢声笑语。

　　英语老师上课很有意思。她经常带领着我们在课堂上玩游戏，并且每一次的游戏都是花样翻新，给我们意想不到的惊喜。有时，英语老师还冷不防地在班上弄出一点儿小轰动，逗得整个课堂上的气氛顿时活跃起来。顺便悄悄告诉你哟，我们班人人都会跳的流行舞曲——小苹果，不是音乐老师传授的，而是我们的开心果——英语老师亲自在班上为大家示范的，自那节课后，小苹果便在俺班流行了。怎么样，感到不可思议吧？

　　我敢说，英语老师的课，全班百分之八十的同学都喜欢。为什么呢？因为英语老师的课，活泼生动、不呆板。之前提到过，英语老师有一张能说会道的嘴，这张嘴装满了无穷无尽的'故事、笑话。每一堂英语课，英语老师那张能说会道的嘴总能蹦出无数的故事吸引我们每个人的注意力，今天上关于学科的，英语老师便会给我们讲外国小朋友的学习生活；昨天上的关于万圣节的，英语老师便给我们讲了万圣节的有趣的故事；明天要上关于春节的，不用说，英语老师便会给我们讲春节的习俗了。每一节英语课，还总是少不了英语老师自创的笑话。有的是现场制造的，有的是事先英语老师备好了的，还有的是英语老师亲身经历改编而成的······

　　Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic, flightless birds living almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their wings have become flippers. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid, and other forms of sealife caught while swimming underwater. They spend about half of their life on land and half in the oceans.Although all penguin species are native to the southern hemisphere, they are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a few species of penguin live so far south. Several species are found in the temperate zone, and one species, the Galápagos Penguin, lives near the equator.The largest living species is the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri): adults average about 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in) tall and weigh 35 kg (75 lb) or more. The smallest penguin species is the Little Blue Penguin (also known as the Fairy Penguin), which stands around 40 cm tall (16 in) and weighs 1 kg (2.2 lb). Among extant penguins, larger penguins inhabit colder regions, while smaller penguins are generally found in temperate or even tropical climates (see also Bergmann's Rule). Some prehistoric species attained enormous sizes, becoming as tall or as heavy as an adult human (see below for more). These were not restricted to antarctic regions; on the contrary, subantarctic regions harboured high diversity, and at least one giant penguin occurred in a region not quite 2,000 km south of the equator 35 mya, in a climate decidedly warmer than today.
